No, according to the Wisconsin Code, the dishwasher discharge can be ran into a standpipe under the kitchen sink cabinet. The air-gap is an important cross-connection control mechanism so that is why we commonly install air-gaps, however, the plumbing allows a standpipe as well.

Can you install a pot filler above or near my stove? 

Yes, pot fillers have gained popularity in recent years and we have installed many of them at our customers request.

Do you install plumbing into island kitchen sinks? 

Yes, we often install island kitchen sinks including dishwashers that may or may not be in the island.

Do you have to use an Air Admittance Valve when you plumb an island kitchen sink? 

No, we can plumb an island-vent configuration to eliminate the mechanical vent, however, it does require more time to install and more materials. We are always happy to work within our customer’s budget and find the best solution possible.
